"Faces", an Abstract work painted in the mid-nineties, was a rare digression from my hard edged geometric work at that time. So, how did it happen? Well it started as a doodle (a scribble sketch) but, when the faces began to emerge it fascinated me and I upgraded it to a painting. However, I do regret not painting it on a larger canvas.
"Faces" - along with my painting "Blue Moon" - was selected for display in the 2009 City University of New York Small Works Exhibit that was held at the 2/20 Gallery in the NYC Chelsea Art District. The gallery was owned and curated by Miguel Herrera a painter, master printmaker and art critic who invited me to exhibit there which led to my Chelsea debut show in 2010.
Notes:
In my view "Faces" is one of my best works that I would prefer to keep in my personal collection and thus it has been priced substantially above Standard.
