"Four Seasons 2" is a Non-Objective Geometric Color Field work painted in 2013. It's a commissioned replica of a smaller work I painted some years earlier that appeared in my first gallery exhibit "Perspectives In Color" and, it's one of my rare paintings (the original smaller work) that evolved entirely from a doodle with no prior plan or idea. I just started laying it out on the canvas and it developed on the fly eventually taking on a contrived third dimension that seems to show up in many of my works. As it turns out, the title - "Four Seasons" - is somewhat of a misnomer since the work seems to have five distinct segments based on color manipulation but, who's counting?
The Painting hangs in a private collection in San Francisco, California.
